Our vision is to see lives transformed

At Hope Community Church, we believe that life is better when we walk together in faith. We are a community committed to sharing the love of Jesus and building genuine relationships. Our mission is to create a space where people from all backgrounds can grow in faith, find meaningful connections, and serve others together.

People, Not Buildings

It is our conviction that God is pleased by His people, not buildings or things made by human hands. We, His people, are the Church, not the place where we meet. Wherever followers of Jesus meet, or wherever they go, the church goes. Whether the gathering is large or small, two people or two-hundred people, God is present.

Focused On Community

We are focused on community and committed to investing in families. Jump into a life group, or come along with us to Worship Night on the last week of the month. Join us at one of our monthly Summer BBQs, Kids Movie Night, or celebrate with us in our bi-monthly Sunday Worship Service.

What We Believe

We believe that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is central to our faith and the foundation for all that we do. We are an evangelical church that is committed to sharing the good news of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ with all people, regardless of their denominational background. Our community is diverse, but we are unified by our shared belief in the life-changing power of the Gospel. We strive to live out our faith in practical ways that demonstrate God’s love to the world around us.

We affirm the eternal existence of God, revealed in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit – who are co-equal and one.

We believe that as God’s supreme creation, humans were made in His image, male and female, for His joy and glory, and with tremendous potential for good. Sin, an attitude of disobedience towards God, has separated us from Him.

Sin separates all humans from God, and only through faith in Jesus Christ as God’s sacrifice can we be forgiven and our relationship with Him restored. Salvation is a gift we can accept through faith or reject, and cannot be earned through self-improvement or good works.

We affirm that Jesus is co-equal with the Father and the Holy Spirit, and that through Him all things were created. Jesus came to earth to offer Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people, dying on a cross, and rising from the dead to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He will return to reign as King of kings and Lord of lords.  He is the only Way, the only Truth, and He is Life.

We were made for eternity, to rest and rule with God on Earth, but sin has separated us from Him. Through forgiveness and salvation in Christ, we can join Him again in heaven, while rejecting Christ leads to eternal separation from God in a place the Bible refers to as hell.

The person of the Holy Spirit is the expressed essence of God, co-equal with the Father and Jesus Christ. He is present in the world to make people aware of their need for Jesus Christ and lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation, providing power, understanding, and guidance. The Christian seeks to live under His control daily.

Because God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, the believer is secure in salvation for eternity. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, and while humans can reject God and lose their salvation, this is not the result of a lack of effort on the Christian’s part.

Communion is an ordinance given to all believers by Jesus Christ, symbolizing our new covenant. The elements of bread and wine (or juice) represent Christ’s broken body and the blood he shed for us on the cross.  It is a testament to a believer’s faith in the power of the cross to cover our sins.

The Bible was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit, making it the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living, without error.

Baptism with water is a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. It does not have the power to save but shows the world that we have already been saved. It is a biblical command and demonstrates our love and obedience to Christ.

We believe that every person has a unique purpose given by God. As Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

Our focus is on fulfilling this purpose through:

  • Worship: Experiencing God’s presence and expressing our love and adoration for Him.
  • Growing: Deepening our understanding of God and His word, and strengthening our relationship with Him.
  • Community: Connecting with others who share our faith, and providing mutual support and encouragement.
  • Serving: Using our gifts and talents to make a positive impact on our community and the world around us.
  • Sharing: Telling others about God’s love and grace, and inviting them to experience His transformative power in their lives.

We strive to create an environment where individuals can discover their true calling and live out their purpose in a meaningful way. We believe that by living out our purpose, we can make a positive impact on our community and the world around us.
